Acer Iconia Tab A100 Gets Ice Cream Sandwich Mid April

With the release of the latest version of the Android OS, more and more device manufacturers are beginning to jump on the Android 4.0 bandwagon and are providing timeframes for when their devices will be updated.  The latest to do so is Acer and it’s plans to update their Iconia Tab A100.

Featuring a dual-core, 1GHz Cortex A9 processor and a Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset, Acer announced that they will be making the ICS update available for the A100 in the middle of April 2012.  The Acer A500 is all set to be receiving the update in April as well as announced by Acer Australia and New Zealand.  The only Acer device to already have the update is the Acer Iconia Tab A200.
